Christmas is coming!

So as the title states Christmas is around the corner. This year is a bittersweet year for us.

The Bitter: We are still living with my inlaws. Its going on 3 years which is 2 years past our projected date. Tension is running high. We thought Danny would be able to find a job by now, but we have had no luck past interviews, and to boot I unexpectedly got my hours cut a month earlier than originally planned. The 18 mo. old boy I nanny for got accepted into a preshool that his mom has been on the waiting list for since her pregnancy. He now goes 3x a week which cuts me down to 2 days a week and being paid hourly instead of salary. he hardest part is that now my poor Austin's schedule is so messed up now. He doesn't like to take naps when we are at home, so now being home more often makes it difficult to get in his qouta of sleep that he needs. My poor baby needs his own room and his own home to play and spread his wings in.

The Sweet: The highlight of our year is being blessed with our little Austin. We love him so much. I love looking into his eyes and juct feeling all of the love I have for him well up inside me. He has such a cute smile and a great demeanor. Even when he is is sad, or in pain, or overtired, he still has the cutest face. I love watching Daddy and son playing and sharing hugs and kisses. It just melts my heart. Austin loves being around other kids, especially toddlers, since he is sed to the one at work. He got to play with a baby 2 mo. older than he during sacrament one week and scratched the poor kid in the face. I felt so bad, but it was fun to watch them interact.

Austin has been cutting teeth like crazy! He got his first right at four months old. the second was right at five months old. The third and fourth came in at six months. Now he has 2 more teeth coming through and he hasn't even finished his seventh month yet. The best thing is that if he gets them all done early that means we can have a great routine, and nighttime sleep for a year or more before the 2nd year molars come in. Of course the hard part is that everytime he gets back to his normal routine it only lasts for a couple of days before he starts cutting another tooth. He is learning to crawl and just about has it down. He has mastered going backwards, and moves arms or legs forward, and lunges forward, but hasn't quite mastered putting it all together. I am guessing he will have it down by Christmas.

Austin has now got the flu. I was hoping it was just that the bananas he ate were too thick, but he has been throwing up multiple times so I am pretty sure he is sick. It is so sad watching your little baby throw up and not being  able to help.

Anyway, Christmas presents are almost completely done. We've had to get creative on such a low budget but hopefully everyone will enjoy them just as much. Hopefully all of you who read this will have  the Happiest of Holidays.
